Dear Noise Project supporter,
You are receiving this message because you indicated in your submission to our Community Noise Survey or other communications with the Project that you are adversely affected by vehicle noise, ranging from over-amplified stereos and modified mufflers — the two most prevalent sources of noise in Providence — to ATVs and garbage trucks / engine revving / car alarms, and more.
The Noise Project has made addressing vehicle noise one of its biggest priorities, and has created a dedicated webpage with policy recommendations to address both the sources of vehicle noise and proposed responses to it, including the proper deployment of noise cameras.
If you would like to help us address the issue, please take a minute to fill out our Volunteer intake form, which helps us to learn about your background and experience, to best utilize the various knowledge and skills that volunteers bring to the Project.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the Noise Project’s vehicle noise program, its other policy initiatives and proposals, or any other noise-related issues.
Thanks again for supporting a quieter, healthier, and more sustainable Providence for all of its residents,
The all-volunteer PNP staff
