Providence Noise Project

Noise is the new Smoking”

Noise Project Endorsements in the RI Primary Election

The Noise Project sent surveys to ballot-qualified candidates for the Rhode Island primary election, including the House of Representatives and Lieutenant Governor, and has collated their responses to help voters make informed decisions on who to cast your ballot for if noise is an issue you care about. We did not survey independent candidates — who don’t appear on the ballot in the primary election — but will do so in October for the general election in November.

Our endorsements (and non-endorsements) are based on the candidates’ answers to our survey questions, any public statements they’ve made or direct communications they’ve had with our organization. Our analysis focuses solely on noise-related issues — we don’t consider their other political stances, or take positions on non-noise city policies or political issues. We just do noise.

To view our endorsements, visit the RI candidate survey assessments page on our website. Please send any comments or other feedback to us, to help us better understand PVD residents’ perspectives. Thankfully, these are our last endorsements until the November general election. And if you haven’t already done so, please make sure to vote by 8:00 p.m. this Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Thank you for your interest in the Providence Noise Project, and for supporting a
quieter, healthier, and more enjoyable Providence for all of its residents and visitors
